The Majtényi Barrel Manufacturer KKT. is a family owned manufactory founded by László Majtényi. We have been producing high quality barrels for over 70 years.
With keeping the oldest traditions and using modern technology we are constructing barrique oak barrels. The best quality wines are aged only in oak barrels, couse of its special flavour material. Sterling oenophiles appointed that the Hungarian oaks flavour materials quality is similar to the French oaks which is known to be one of the best.
The selected oak logs are originated from the best forests of Hungary. Staves are made from thick textured oaks with cleaving, than they are dried naturaly at the open air for minimum two years.
Staves are bent in open oak fire. Every barrel is been fired out (roasted) for the best deep penetration, because the quality of the wine depends on the quality of the barrel.
